What is the difference between SIAT and CAT/AAT?

SIAT has been set up by LCCIEB and AIA, two highly regarded international bodies, to provide its members with the benefits of their combined specialist experience in examinations and membership services.

SIAT is therefore able to offer its members a new international accounting technician qualification based on LCCIEB examinations, which are well respected by employers worldwide. Additionally members benefit from professional membership services to support them throughout their careers and from access to new employment and business opportunities.

The international aspects of the two sponsoring bodies means that SIAT student members can take the examinations for the SIAT qualification in more than 8,500 centres in countries throughout the world and can pay their fees in local currency.

The SIAT provides an alternative route to qualification and offers a fast track into the AIA accountancy qualification.
